The Items
We chose 10 items that are somehow connected to events, concepts, people and places related to the figure of Elisabeth of Austria, by mixing archival documents, bibliographic records and artefacts. All ten items come from cultural institutions and aggregators that were considered reliable sources for our project. These institutions are also the providers of the items’ description, which is briefly introduced here, and they include information about people, places, dates and subjects. This section of the site will allow you to acquire a deeper understanding of the material culture related to Sissi’s figure and to start questioning how they can be connected.
